Blood Donation Campaign: A Step towards Self-Sufficiency

Under the generous patronage of her excellency Prof. Dr. Gehan Fekry, President of Sinai University, and Prof. Dr. Abd Elhamid Abdo, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and supervision of Prof. Dr. Lotfy Diab, Dean of the faculty of pharmacy, Arish Campus, EPSF Sinai, Al-Arish branch, has launched a blood donation campaign on Sunday to Monday 1 – 2/12/2024. The campaign aimed for raising awareness among university students and the surrounding Sinai community about the importance of blood donation and its health benefits, while highlighting cases where donation is not recommended. The campaign seeks to promote a culture of regular blood donation, supporting Egypt’s Vision 2030 to achieve self-sufficiency in blood bags and address the annual shortages that affect thousands of patients’ lives. The campaign includes awareness activities within the university, mobile caravans, and partnerships with the Blood Bank to ensure the quality and safety of donations.
