Save Energy and Sustain the Future” Forum at Sinai University in Arish to Promote Sustainability and Energy Conservation Culture

 

The Faculty of Dentistry at Sinai University – Arish Branch organized a distinguished student forum under the slogan “Save Energy and Sustain the Future” on Monday, May 18, 2026, as part of the university’s efforts to support sustainability concepts and enhance environmental awareness among students.

The forum was held under the generous patronage of Prof. Dr. Gehan Fekry, President of Sinai University, and Prof. Dr. Abdelhamid Abdo, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, reflecting the university’s commitment to supporting meaningful student initiatives and actively contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals.

The organization of this forum aligns with the Egyptian state’s directions and Egypt Vision 2030 toward promoting sustainability concepts and preserving natural resources, as well as supporting the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to raise community awareness of environmental and energy-related issues.

The forum aimed to promote a culture of energy conservation, raise awareness about the importance of preserving natural resources, and reinforce the principles of sustainable development among students, faculty members, and administrative staff through a variety of awareness activities and events that reflected students’ understanding of their social and environmental responsibilities.

This forum is considered the first of its kind among Egyptian universities, highlighting Sinai University’s leadership and commitment to its academic and societal role in supporting sustainability issues and building a more aware and sustainable future for coming generations.
