Social Solidarity Day

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Jehan Fikry, President of Sinai University; Prof. Dr. Abdel Hamid Abdo, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Arish Branch; and Ms. Radwa Rateb, Member of the Board of Trustees of Sinai University and Managing Director of Sama Sinai— and as part of Sinai University’s commitment to promoting social solidarity and fostering values of human participation among its students— the university organized a Social Solidarity Day on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the village playgrounds starting at 9:00 AM, with wide participation from students, supervisors, and several NGOs.

The event saw the participation of 96 students under the supervision of 14 supervisors, alongside 6 NGOs: Al-Shagara Association, Amr Ibn Al-Aas Association, Al-Nosour Association, Women’s Rights Association, Sheikh Zuweid Schools, and Bir Al-Abd Schools. A variety of recreational and social activities for children were organized.

Activities began at 9:00 AM with welcoming the children and organizing entertainment games and interactive competitions prepared by the supervisors, creating an atmosphere of joy and happiness. Gifts were distributed to the winning children. At 11:00 AM, a short break was held during which light meals were provided to the participating children.

The activities resumed at 12:00 PM with a range of recreational programs that brought more fun and excitement to the children.

The day concluded at 2:00 PM with the distribution of gifts and toys to the children in the presence of Prof. Dr. Jehan Fikry (University President), Prof. Dr. Abdel Hamid Abdo (Vice President), and Ms. Radwa Hassan Rateb (Member of the Board of Trustees), who were keen to share the children’s joy and take commemorative photos with them in a warm, humanitarian atmosphere reflecting the university’s mission of community service and support.

This event comes as part of Sinai University’s role in enhancing students’ sense of social responsibility and reinforcing the values of giving and solidarity, contributing to building a more cohesive and humane society.
