


The Civil Engineering Department at Sinai University Achieves a Remarkable Milestone in the “Best Bridge Model” Competition
Under the esteemed patronage of Prof. Dr. Gehan Fekry, President of Sinai University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Hamid Abdo, Vice President for Student Affairs and Education at Arish Campus, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Basyouni, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Amin, Vice Dean of the Faculty, the Civil Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering, Sinai University – Arish Campus, secured the 11th place in the “Best Bridge Model” (BBM) competition.
The competition, organized by the Egyptian Russian University (ERU) on Monday, December 16, 2024, witnessed the participation of 53 teams from various Egyptian universities.
This achievement came as a result of presenting innovative engineering designs characterized by precision and efficiency in simulating real-life bridges, reflecting the distinguished academic level and practical skills of the department’s students.
The competition provides an excellent opportunity to encourage students to apply theoretical concepts in practical projects, enhancing their skills in designing and building models that tackle real-world challenges.
This success highlights Sinai University’s commitment to fostering innovation and enhancing the engineering capabilities of its students.
