A Visit by the PhAi Family to Ahl Masr Burns Hospital

Under the generous patronage of her excellency Prof. Dr. Gehan Fikry, President of Sinai University, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Lotfy Diab, Dean of the Faculty, and the follow-up of Dr. Yasmine Murtaji, Assistant Professor at the faculty and Family Educational Advisor, the visit was within the framework of enhancing practical experiences for students, the (PhAi) family at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Sinai University, Arish Branch, made a scientific visit to the students of the fifth and fourth levels (pharm D) in coordination with the Ahl Misr Hospital for Burns, on Sunday 3 November 2024, and the visit aims to introduce students to the various pharmacy departments and the role of the clinical pharmacist in the hospital.

The faculty students went to the hospital, accompanied by assistant lecturer Muhammad Nasser and Demonstrator Ahmed Shawqi, where they were received by the hospital’s work team. The visit began with an introductory lecture about the clinical pharmacist, the future fields of the pharmacist, the role of the clinical pharmacist in all stages of treating burns and their medication follow-up, the importance of health care for them, and knowledge of the services provided in the hospital.

The students visited the various pharmacy departments in the hospital and learned about the role of the pharmacist in each department. The doctors spoke with the students about the types of burns, methods of treating them, the importance of rapid intervention, how to deal with burn cases, and the necessary first aid.
