“Ebdaa” 12th Edition Closing Ceremony
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, attended the closing ceremony of the “Ebdaa” Festival in its 12th edition in the literary, scientific and artistic fields, for students of universities, higher institutes, and governmental and private academies, which was held under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the Grand Conference Hall at Cairo University.
Professor Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, attended the ceremony together with Ambassador Mohamed Al-Orabi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and expert of the Policy and Business Development Unit at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Senator Dina Hilali, a number of university presidents, a group of public figures, thinkers and artists, and a large crowd of media professionals including Mona El-Shazly, Ambassador of “Ebdaa” Festival for university students, and leaders of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Sinai University students won a number of first places in “Ebdaa” Festival in its 12th edition in the literary and artistic fields, for students of universities, higher institutes, and governmental and private academies.
Sinai University’s participation came under the patronage and presence of Professor Dr. Jihan Fikry, President of the University, Professor Dr. Abdel Hamid Abdo, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Qamhawi Abaza, Advisor for Artistic Activities at the University.
Professor Dr. Jihan Fikry congratulated the students who won the various festival competitions, stressing that Sinai University is keen to support all distinguished and talented students in various fields and student activities. Professor Dr. Abdel Hamid Abdo emphasized the university’s interest in various student activities and initiatives, positive participation and effective communication with students of Egyptian universities.
It is noteworthy that the university’s folk arts team won third place at the university level, and the musical-performance theater team won the Special Jury Award of Excellence. The student, Mahmoud Hisham Moussa, won third place in the visual arts, and the student, Mohamed Ramadan Mahmoud, won the award for best singing in the field of theatrical performances.
